I've been continuing with new mods for my '05 HD. All of the audio/visual upgrades were taken care of in December (2 DVD players, 9" screens, X-Box, back-up camera, Sirius satellite radio, navigation ect...). All of this was followed by the exterior mods (painted grill shell with Precision stainless steel grill, smooth painted mirrors, painted door handles and flares and Denali lights). I couldn't wait to long for the performance upgrades so I installed a Volant induction, Edge with Attitude and MBRP Cool Dual exhaust. All of this feels good but... more is better! I'm planning on upgrading the Allison transmission and torque converter when there is a better selection of performance parts available for the LLY.

The big change in plans is how high the truck will be. This will be used as the company tow vehicle so it will probably see at least 10-12,000 miles with an enclosed 32' car hauler behind it. So I felt it would be better to go with a street look instead. I cranked the nose up about an inch and will be putting on a set of 22x9.5" Weld Evo Velocity 8 wheels and will wrap them with 305/45/22 Nitto 404 tires. I was really looking forward to putting the truck up in the air but didn't want to regret that. I might pick something else up to lift later in the year. The wheels/tires should be on by the end of the month!

Nice truck in the works, but isn't the 22" rims and tires hurt its towing capabilities as much as raising it would? I mean they just don't have the load capactiy and a 32' trailer witha car in it will be a pretty good load.

I ran the same combo on my '02 Suburban with no problems. The trailer will be made of aluminum so it's about 15-20% lighter than steel. This one will probably weigh in the same as my 24' enclosed steel trailer.

Looks good Tom. It didn't take that long for her to be just as unique as the other 2. Speaking of which, is that right in your sig, the truck still for sale? I can't recall seeing anything about it being sold. I know the burb went quick.
