any country music fans in here?

I recently got a copy of the Shooter Jennings CD before it came out and it's awesome! He's the son of legendary country artist Waylon Jennings. Anyone in here listen to country or ever heard of him?

I listen to country 90% of the time and classic rock the other 10%. I am a fan of the older country, I don't like many new songs.

Yep, I like both kinds of music, country and western. I also listen to big-band and classical. My wife likes to listen to classic rock when we travel, and I'm really tired of that stuff.

for "new" artists, I am not a fan of shooter.

I much prefer Hank williams III, dale watson, and a whole slew of texas artists: kevin smith, kevin fowler, cory morrow, etc.

No doubt. She has staying power. Great voice, cute, and she's from Texas. Total package. I usually don't like the chick's of country - but this one stands out as an original + she can play the guitar.

I like the "Texas Country" sound - Cross Canadian Ragweed, (early) Pat Green, Mike McClure, and now Miranda.
