Getting ready to order a 2500HD Sierra 8.1/Ally 4WD CC LB and not sure if I should go with the steel ones or the aluminum. Seen both but just cant make up the mind.

Aluminums look much better in my opinion, unless you are planning to change to aftermarkets soon after buying the truck they are worth the cost.

I had the steel wheels with the chrome cover on them and couldn't wait to ditch them.

I really like the factory aluminum ones myself. My last truck had steel with trim rings and center caps which were fugly. I always wanted to buy a set of aluminum factory wheels but they were pricey.

you'll kick yourself in the ass later if you don't spend the extra $200 for the aluminum wheels. Even on Ebay the factory aluminums go for over $400 a set, get them now while they are only $200.

I agree. Get the factory Alum rims!

Be very careful if/when you get aftermarket alum rims. If you do, make sure they are chrome plated.

The factory rims have coating that makes them pretty much no-maintenance.

Aftermarket alum rims have to be polished weekly! Buddy has some and it sucks @$$ polishing them.
