renolaw Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 After much frustration w/ Chiltons, Haines, etc., i broke down and ordered the 5 volume set of manuals from Helm publishing. WOW! 5 big phone book sized maunals-- i cannot beleive i waited this long. Kind of spendy, but worth every dollar! Talk about detail... mark
cedjunior Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 How spendy and do they have a web sight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think its about $120 for the whole set of books. Helm Inc. is the OEM provider for GM manuals. Link
dewfpo Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 The manuals for th 05's still aren't out yet...... DEWFPO
JimG Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Helm manuals are AWESOME. Had the Haynes for the last truck - it was ok, but not great. Can't beat it for the '03 models since the wiring changed from the previous years. All my electrical add-ons wouldn't work with the instructions provided. Took the Helms book and a lot of time to trace the wires to find what I needed, but it worked and I never blew a fuse or fried a computer.
dewfpo Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 Thanks for letting me know. I just ordered mine. I was on the Helm site in January and it said they weren't available yet and asked if I wanted to be notified by e-mail, which I did....... but they didn't notify me. Again, thanks, DEWFPO
