I have an 05 2500HD 8.1/Allison with about 800 miles on it. When the truck is idling there is a very noticable squeak comming from the alternator area of the engine. Is it something that i should be worried about?.

Probably nothing serious, but it shouldn't squeak. Perhaps a belt noise due to a pulley alignment issue, but without hearing it, I really couldn't say. Take it in an let your dealer check it out.
