nc_04z71 Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Wife is wanting to trade vehicles soon since we're going to have another addition to the family and i've been looking at the Trailblazer. Have there been any major problems with them? Any major recalls?
GMCTech Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 The Trailblazer is a decent vehicle, with few major problems. I would recommend get as far away from the 2002 model year as you can ('05 being the best choice.) THe '02s depending on the build date have between 3 and 8 recalls, the '03s have 2-3 recalls and the '04s just 1 recall. The '05s have yet to have a recall. None of the recalls are really major issues, mostly nuisance items. The first run '02s (mfg. before Mar '02) had a design flaw in the engine that GM will back to 100,000 miles. Hope this helps.
GM-Tech Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 Yep, what he said. Had an '02 in here the other day with 8 items written up. Every one was a recall! Mostly minor.
nc_04z71 Posted March 17, 2005 Author Posted March 17, 2005 Thanks fellas! That's what I was looking to hear. I thought there had been some problems with the earlier models but I figured they had them straightened out by now. I'll be getting an '05 since she has a grandad that retired from GM and can get me a GMS number.....
