Gas Mileage on Suburban Good or Bad ?

I have a 99 K2500 Suburban with the 7.4L. engine, 62,000 miles, mobil 1 and 1 quart Lucas synthetic oil treatment every 5k miles or 5 months. I am getting about 10 mpg average - light footed. Is this about right or should it be more. I live in Indiana, mostly flat land and this mileage is for solo driving no towing. If this is less than what I should be getting what should I clean / replace ??

  Morning here- I have a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500-5.3 L engine (low mileage -two owner)--I'm retired now-so I don't drive as much--anyway-just had the oil /filter changed-I have always used Amsoil Synthetic and NAPA gold oil (#7045) filters-now i read that GM has changed the oil filter requirments for these engines- and they (GM) recommends/ want to go w/ a different filter w/ more psi rating on the relief valve (in the filter) to open like 22 psi. The above featured one I mentioned shows 12-15 PSI--which doesn't kmeet these new specs.. Wow-stuff is like getting more/more technical all the time. I think it looks like trying to avoid these sticky lifter problems. Any thoughts or recommendations here? I'm kinda confused-- Thank you- glenn

  ///// I went ahead and bought/plugged in the new Boost brand dongle thing last week. Haven't driven it much yet-but seemed a little smoother/quicker maybe in stop and go traffic. What I did like about this brand was the reviews and made in USA> (hopefully).
