headlights all 4 on for highbeams

I have a 2003 Sierra 4x4 ext cab. How can I get my low beams to stay on when I switch to hi's, Is there a relay that I can install??

Also how can I turn off my lights, they are always in the auto position, and you cannot turn them to off!!! This really sucks for hunting season!!! You can't sneak up on anything. HOPE someone can help!!!!!!!

I added the diode as Lrymal described in the previous post and it works GREAT! All you have to do is observe the polarity of the diode.

My truck has a dome override button right by the headlight switch. If you press that 4 times you will override the auto headlight feature. The truck will ding when you do it. It will also automatically reset when you turn the truck off.

On your 03, you should be able to rotate the light switch to the off ("O") position, the switch will go back to the auto position but the lights should be off until you rotate the switch a sceond time or restart the truck.
