Tire Pressure

I have a set of BFG 285/75R16 T/A KOs on 16x10 wheels which I usually pump up to 40psi. Last time I took it for a rotation and transfer case fluid change, they pumped them to 50psi. Right after this service, which included the front transfer case fluid change, I started hearing excessive road nosie. Let's just say much louder than usual. I hear it increaing with speed up to a point.

Can over or under filling the transfer case create noise?

Or is it the high tire pressure the casuing the noise?

I have always had the Rancho9000 shocks set at max stiffness, but no noise before this service...

Try adjusting your tire pressures to see if the noise subsides...They may have just aired the tires up to the MAX. LOAD RATING, which is fine, IF YOUR CARRYING A HEAVY LOAD! But if you run empty/light most of the time, you should adjust the pressures accordingly. I run my 265/75r16 @ 45psi in the front and 40psi in the rear on my pick up when I'm not hauling anything heavy. And they appear to wear better (more evenly)......
