hoosier Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 i would like to know if a stopped up convertor will cause my truck to be hard to start and to miss fire
Colorado Kid Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 No. A plugged converter will make it struggle at high rpm, wide throttle, will make it burn more gas and can contirbute to overheating and or pinging. It'll start and idle just fine. Hard to start and misfire . . . depending on what year/engine your truck is I'd suspect distributor, injectors, plugs, vaccuum leaks.
