when I Was working, hail hit, bigger than golf balls, smaller than baseballs. still big enough to make about 20+ dents on my car. hood, deck, roof, sunroof, and one on the fender.

it busted my wndshield in three places. it hit the posytal vehciles sop hard it took their paint off, and broke one mirror. on one guys T-birg, it deformed the fender causeing the turn signal to pop out of socket. an 04 Silverado, and two 05 F-150's also got hammered, and the sheet metal on those are figgin heavy. eveyone had damage. in pics it dosen't show up on my car, but the dent range fron dime size, to severl that have golfball size impession mated to softball szie metal distortions.

at least 3 are on contours, not fixable with paintless repair.

I'm not sure what I will do.........I just satyed inside working for 30 minutes after it stopped afriad to go outside. then a co worker reported to me it didn't look as bad as the rest.........until we wiped the water off and revealed what new white paint can hide......

It hit hard here also.  I was kinda worried about the truck. No dent's at all.

not NEARLY as hard as at 71st and Lewis then. the leaves on the trees were shredded like confetti on the ground. like I said, that SIlverado looked like it had ben attacked with a BB gun...my car with some dents like a baseball pitching machine.

A saturn Ion Redline is looking REALLY good right now(polymer panels)

That Bimmer is just a magnet for damage, isn't it? Maybe you do need something with polymer panels.

I've seen the aftermath of a Saturn and a deer, though not high-speed. If it hadn't been winter, it might not have done much damage, but one of the hoofs went through a fender, probably because it was brittle due to the cold.

OOPS correction. 1 ding. I guess I got lucky. The monte was beat on 1 1/2 yrs ago so I don't know if it has more or not. I have the Sblazer in the garage.

Bummer about your bimmer. Glad it wasn't you camero.

alright, called state farm, I must say THEY ARE A HECK OF A LOT BETTER THAN LIBERTY MUTUAL. we had them for like 13 years, but the basic info only took like 8 minutes, they will submit the claim and call back to verify. When I wrecked the truck Liberty took my statement like 3 times, and it took FOREVER for them to type it all up.

Sorry to hear about the hail damage to your cars. In Dallas, the hail only got to be about quarter size where I live. But, north of DFW airport got tennis ball size hail. My wife was out shopping in out 5 day old 05 GMC Yukon XL Denali. When the hail hit I called her and to much luck she was shopping at a mall with covered parking. I guess this time I was lucky. Two years ago we got tennis ball size hail around our house in tore the heck out of our roof, cars, and pretty much everything outside.

My father in law got some hail damage in tulsa on his F150. He took it took a dentless paint repair place and in came out looking ok. But, they can only take out the little dings I think....

I know the Saturn side panels are polymer, but I'm not so sure about the parts pointing toward the sky.

Wow! I saw some of the damage on the Weather Channel last night. It looked pretty nasty size-wise. Glad you didn't get hammered worse than you did.

It was windy as all get-out last night here north of Denver. It blew out the pilot light in the furnace. We didn't know it until this morning when it was only 61 degrees inside! Brrrrrr....

I was going to ask you 2 if you had a any damage. I'm at 71 and Yale, and we had bigger than golf ball size. I found one dent on the hood, and one on the roof.

Not real bad but enough to tick me off. My dad on his 00 OBS has about 15 to 20 dents. And he lives about 100 yards away.

A buddy from work had it happen to his truck last year, and his insurance gave hin almost 3000 grand to fix it, but he just pocketed the cash.

the adjuster is supposed to contact us soon. A guy at my work had it happend to his car last year, he said he's seen a lot of paintless work done(he knows a guy that does it) at a place in town called "dent perfection" he said take it wherever I want to, but a true pro will be able to get amost anything out from ewhat he's seen. he also said on the countoured panels is where the shine at their job.....we will see!

You might want to check up on that "paintless dent repair" before you have it done.

They'll drill holes in your car to get at some dings. Big holes...Like 1/2" holes.

I'll post a pic of a couple in the Blazer if you don't believe me.

At least they got the dents out.

    • Breaking News!    I'm going to tell you that I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I told  you.  Then I'm going to tell you what I'm about to tell you on the other side of the break.  Then we're going to break. Then I'm not going to tell you what I told you I was going to tell you.  But I'll tell you something else that is Breaking News just coming to the desk that everyone reported on yesterday.  Then I'll tease a human interest telling I'll get to on the other side of a larger break. Then I'll tell you one item in 20 seconds and go back to an even longer break. Longest break of the night.  Then I'll tell you a fluff piece that takes 10 seconds and sign off into a three minute break while you wait for the next 30 minutes of rinse and repeat on the local news.    In al you'll get about 12 minutes of something, 5 minutes of which is worth hearing in a 30 minute show and 18 minutes of advertising at a sound level twice as loud as the news.    Of course you can switch to cable news and hear 12 different people tell the same four stories in much the same format as the Network News for 20 hours of which the majority will be advertising.  And four hours of late night Specials about things you wonder why you stayed up to listen to. Half of which will be repeats.....   OR you can go for a drive
    • Did you ever figure this out? My 2022 Trail Boss, and now my 2026 LT did this from time to time.  I believe it was more connected to Android Auto and my phone being the cause. Maybe try going for a drive, sans cell phone.... and see if it happens?
    • I have a 2026 Silverado LT, the non bose as well.  Upgrading the door speakers is pretty straightforward. You could honestly go to walmart, or Auto Zone/ O Reilly and get a set of 6x9s for the front, and 6.5s for the rear. You do also have to get some adapters for each, but they are like $10 a pair on Amazon. Then some plug and play harnesses that are about $10 a pair on Amazon as well.  And I would also suggest a 10 pack of the Amazon Basics sound deadening. Slap that all around the speakers and on the open metal of the inside of the door. And your golden.   I am currently doing this with my Silverado. Although I am having a bit of trouble because I am snooby I guess and bought some Alpine S2 S69c's which are 2 way components and I am having to wire from the door up to the dash....  Having never installed speakers before, its taking me just a bit to get everything correct. But if you dont buy expensive component speakers, and just some $40-$50 door speakers. You will DRASTICALLY improve the sound over these stock paper cone junk speakers. I thought my Silverado had an issue with the radio/ sound for a while.  Come to find out.  The stock speakers are just THAT SH*TTY   I cannot wait to have some decent sound in the truck   What did you end up doing?
    • Its all automatic based on yaw sensor data.  If enough incline is detected, it engages.   My recommendation though would be to disengage it before driving off and not let it auto disengage by touching the gas pedal.  The HD trucks use the same setup as prior years, the drum in hat park brake.  But now with an electric actuator.  If you drive off repeatedly over time, it can torque the park brake shoes and can also prematurely wear them out.           Electric console shift will set the park brake on flat ground too.  Pretty sure they've got it programmed to activate every time.
