'02 OEM Radio/CD with Autotone

So, the stereo was replaced under warranty this morning. The "new" one automatically goes to the "pop" setting for the autotone when I go to the radio, and "C&W" on the CD. Is there anyway to change this default setting? My old one went to no setting for the autotone.

For the radio, put the equalizer setting to what you want it to be for a specific station preset, then save that preset, even if it's already saved. For example, tune to 105.9, set it to ROCK, then press and hold the number 1 button. Tune to 98.7, set to POP, press and hold number 2.

 

If you then manually tune, of course you won't have those settings, but if you pressed #1, listened for a while, then put in a CD and set it to JAZZ, when you switched back to the radio, you would be on 105.9 with the ROCK setting.

 

As for the CD, as far as I know, it stays at whatever equalizer setting it was last at when you played a CD.
