I would guess that speaker level inputs would probably be better, just because that's one less connection going on.

My mid/high amp accepts speaker inputs, but I used the LOC because I had two extra ones laying around. It sounds great.

I would imagine that you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

But I stayed at home last night, not at a Holiday Inn Express...So I may be way off on that one. :D

I would have to agree , even though your doing the same thing one outside the amp and one inside. I would go with speaker level though because the power that the amp has available allows it to do it electronically instead of passively like the adapter.

I'm going to agree with Wingnut that fewer connections are better, but I'll bet you couldn't hear the difference unles you had a really bad connection.

Some food for thought though. In my Exploder I had LOC's to my 4-way 400w amp and speaker level to my 60w 2ch (for the sub). The 2ch ran MUCH hotter than the 4ch.

Good Luck

The heat issue comes from the fact that the amp has to use coils to bump the wattage down and convert it to a voltage type signal before amplifing. The loc does this too but its not containted inside a device that is turning around and generating more wattage. If this makes any sence to anyone but me.

Yea, it makes sense. I'm only concerned that if he (100R1) puts this amp in a tucked away place it may not last too long. Mine was under the read seat and the floor a/c kept it cool.
