roller cam

I need help findin out info bout my truck. i just bought a 1995 Tahoe and i need to find a new block to build up. but i dont know if it came with a stock roller cam or a normal hydo cam. can sumone help me.? i called dealers and they dont know what they are talkin bout. after i took it off raodin last time i noticed it burns a lil oil when the rpms stay up high( going throw mud full throtal) and when the motor is warm and its warm out at state up. any nfo about the motor will be help ful.
