6.0 Exhaust?

Recommended Posts

Hello all...

I'm thinking about putting a flowmaster exhuast on my truck (6.0, reg cab, 8' bed 2x4) and for the life of me can't find a MUFFLER. Not an exhaust system, but just a muffler, i would like to keep the piping all the same if possible. I wanna cut out the old muffler and "pop" the new one in (Probably have to add some pipe but thats no problem). What dementions would i need? I assume, dual 3" inlet with single 3" outlet, correct? If anyone knows this information please post back, thanks all!

They make one with a dual 3 inch in and single 3.5 inch out that you could adapt down to your current tail pipe. I have seen them because I am cosidering putting one on my 2000 K3500 but I have not yet because I was trying to find a 3.5 inch tail pipe too but noboby around here does pipe that big and I want to find a diesel T pipe on a shelve somewhere which is 3.5 inch and see it it will work.

I know that on my old crewcab '01 6.0L it was a dual in/dual out muffler...

If I still had the truck, the muffler I would have considered would have been the Flowmaster 70 series. The 6.0L has alot of "bark", and I think the 70 series would have been the perfect choice for a daily around town driver... not too loud, but throaty when you stepped on it!!!

Snoman,

530503 doesn't exist.

Got another number?

I'm kind of interested too...

530513 says it's for a big block. Is that the one? 3" IN, 3.5 OUT? Is that 2 in, 1 out?

Aha! Found it! It's part of the 17328 Kit... No sound clip, rats!

It does exist but it is not in the general catalog. It is normally part of a kit but you can get it seperately. It comes in a few different dash variants (like 530503-167) for different apps but a call to Flowmaster will get you the right dash number. I do not know why they do not catalog it and I first found out about it over a year ago via emailing them for a possible muffler for my truck which has two 3 inch down pipes to muffler too. The muffler in question should be two 3 inch inlets and one 3.5 inch outlet.
