97 fuel module

The fuel pump failed and the fuel gauge was swinging prior to replacing the fuel pump.replaced fuel pump and sending unit. the fuel gauge still swings. The haynes book shows a fuel sender module but I can't find it. Any help would be great. :D

Fuel Level Sender/Gauge Module

Removal Procedure

 

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to

 

Caution

 

Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

2. Locate the fuel Level sender/gauge module (2) under the passenger supplemental inflatabile restraint (1), and in between the Plenum and blower motor.

3. Remove the foam tape wrapped around the module.

4. Remove the module end cover.

5. Remove the circuit board inside the module housing being careful not to bend or twist the circuit board.

 

Installation Procedure

1. Install the circuit board inside the module housing being careful not to bend or twist the circuit board.

2. Install the module end cover.

3. Rewrap the module in foam tape.

4. Postion the fuel level sender/guage module (2) back up under the passenger supplemental inflatable restraint (1).

5. Connect the negative battery cable.

Thanks for the reply some good info, but where it say's click here for detailed picture nothing happens. A picture is worth a thousand words. So basically under (passenger supplemental inflatibale restraint)??? :D and inbetween plenum & blower motor, it sounds like location is under dashboard or the instrument cluster panel.
