Nice looking Avy though. Looks much better without all that plastic crap cladding (or is that just painted?).

thoughts on the avy with lift and painted sides>

1.painted plastic on this avy appears to be smooth(looks sharp) I've seen some that still have that textured look to them (those dont look quites as good)

2. lift is 6" would like to see some good pics on 4" lift (since that is what I'am interested in)

3. still trying to find a good paint shop to do my plastic

That is one BAD A## AV. The only thing I could do without is about 2'' of lift, I'd like to get it in my garage. The paint and polished roof rack are awesome. I emailed the site and will hopefully hear something in a couple of days.

Here is the list from the offwest site for all involved. Looks like Color Wheels is responsible for the paint. I plan on looking them up as well as Fabtech for a lift and I really like the nerf bars and roof rack.

I get so much praise and attention from just having the plastic cladding reworked. I took the truck to the SEMA show this year and was asked about it by numerous Chevrolet dealer owners.

I have heard and seen comments on how they worry about chipping , ect...

If done right there shouldnt be any problems, the hard part and most important is in the prep .We actually took of the sport bar and side storage doors along with the rear bumper cover. We left the side panels on.The sanding was the most time consuming part.The primer is the most mportant especially due to some of the chemicals that are in the plastic.

Its been painted for over 3 months. I have been off-raod and daily highway use and I have no chipping, flaking ,peeling anywhere.

I will have pictures of the process on www.offwest.com also when I get the site up again.If there is anyone in Southern California I can give you info on the shop that did most of the work.

Matt, we're not in Southern CA, but there are several of us here in Houston that want to have a look at the process. Did the plastic sand easily? What kind of primer and or fillers did you use? Can't wait to see the pictures. Did you paint the bed cover panels also?

What up with the DVD player? Is it an overhead console?

Trenz isn't showing the grill on their website. Did you special order it?

I have the DVD player under my rear seat and is hooked up to and 6.8" overhead pod i installed and is also hooked up to a 5" flip up TV that is in my center console. They are made by Steel Horse Automotive (which I am a New Product/QC installer-supervisor for) They dont sell directly to the public but products can be purchased at most truck accessory places such as

I did recieve the billet grille before production but the grille is in production by TRENZ and I don't know why its not on thier site yet.I am sure you can order one by phone.

I have a new one of a kind front grille guard on that i will show as soon as i get a picture it looks great because it contours with the trucks shape and is not big and bulkyand the roof rack is not production either.

The Truck will be in the March isssue of FOUR WHEELER Magazine.
