Traded in my Dodge Ram 1995 2500 Extended cab with 8 foot bed, 4X4, 360 cu in.

Had flat shell and carrier 800 lb of tools and parts every day in it.

Got 10 mpg in town and 15 on hwy.

Great truck, had 90,000 miles when traded.

Had it worked on 1 time in 6 years.

It had very stiff spings and felt like driving a wagon,

but with the weight I was hauling and the trailor I pulled a few times a year I felt it was OK.

I dont like the new Dodge trucks.

But I love the Avalanche.

Drives like a Cadillac.

That's a hard decision for sure. I gave up a nice 71 Corvette (numbers-matching 454 LS-5, 4speed) to get my 95 Impala SS this spring. Now I'm giving up the Impala to get a truck.

Nothing compares to a Corvette :love:

I gave up my 96 for my AV. Tough decision but the vette sat still more than I drove it. Had the vette approx. 4 1/2 years and put 5k miles. I have had the AV about three weeks and already have 2200 miles. I came out great.

That is a tough choice. I am sure you get alot more use out of the GMC though.

When we bought our home in 96, I HAD too sell my 70 1/2 Z28 :plainsmile: The car was soooooo cherry! Talk about power when I got on it the ashtray would slide out!!! (not kidding)

of course the m-21 4/speed 3.73 12 bolt posi helped quite a bit

But since buying the house the value of it has come up $100,000 tho. I know the Z would have come up too but not that much $$$$

When we refinanced last spring to build the new garage (toy box) I tried to find the Z to buy her back and put it in the toy box! Of course I couldn't find it, and forgot to write down the VIN # so I'll let destiny guide me too her
