hey gang. i wanted to get a Service Manual (emissions, drivetrain and tranny) for my 03 Sierra but all i could come up with is a transmission book. saw one on towing but i dont do alot of that.

I have an 87 Service manual for my 87 K20 and it covers everything. is the exact same book they used from GM (got it from ebay cheap).

i dont want a chilton or haynes...

where does everybody else get theirs.

i did a search but didnt really find answers i am looking for.

this is where i started my search.

the best i came up with is a 2000 unit repair manual (which i want for the 2003 year) and the 2003 transmission unit repair manual (which i think deals mostly with the trannys for cars and trucks).

you think i could get away with ordering the 2000 unit repair manual? what has changed on these trucks since 2000-2003? i am looking at engine and drivetrain relations.

71GMC_3/4T, is correct and is the only correct manual. GM uses & provides the data to Helms.

These manuals are the bible for repair.

I think these manuals would be much better if every stinkin' part didn't start with "Connect Scan Tool..." I don't have one, dangit! At least they do tell you the workaround way for some things, like reprogramming keyless entry.
