I threw in a pair of Alpine 6.5" in my 05 CrewCab and talk about a huge improvement.............especially for 60 bucks!

For anyone that does NOT have a Bose system, this is the least expensive upgrade with the biggest result.

My advise, ALWAYS change out the speakers right away.

Would you suggest this from Bose owners? Are the Bose speakers really upgrades or is it the amp and sub?

Is there a way to install a system and have it totally hidden? (amps, real sub...etc.)

If you have bose you cannot just throw in speakers as the bose speakers have weird impedences and aftermarket speakers can cause your radio to mess up.. My friend just ripped out all of his bose stuff (the only way to upgrade your bose system is to do it all IMO).. and his truck sounds 1000000000 times better.. Hes got a Alpine headunit running to a Kicker SX700.4 that powers a kicker 6 1/2 component set up front and infinity kappa 4x6's in the rear. a Kicker KX650.1 that powers two Kicker Comp VR's in a box under his seat.. You cannot see any of this as the box is hidden under the seat, the amps are mounted behind the seat.. We used two wiring harnesses.. one to plug into the radio and the other to plug into the bose amp and changed the pins around on the plug that plugged into the bose amp so we did not have to run all new speaker wires.. It worked like a charm and his truck sounds really nice. If you need any help let me know...

No Highs No Lows.. Must Be Bose!

Yea, what he said

The problem with the Bose system is the special impedence speakers. You can't just swap them out to something better. I have no idea if there are aftermarket replacements for them (although I doubt it) but your only other optionis to scrap the Bose altogether and go aftermarket. That's what I did and I never looked back.
