Several thoughts come to mind here. I wonder how he explained the damage, and secondly, depending on his explanation, was he confronted with the video

I think since he didn't try to get out right away, there's a good chance he figured there's a problem with just going ahead and doing that. Like maybe some jagged glass pinching against something, or maybe a hot lamp, or other metal parts.

 

Something like that happened at my company Christmas party about 20 years back. Another fat@ss, busted the glass on the copier, although I don't think he fell in. He got fired on the spot. He didn't get to keep his pictures either.
