Where exactly is the pcm located on a 01 1500 silverado? is it under all the fuses?

I know on the 03-05's it is on the core support bewteen the fan shroud and the battery, there is a plastic cover over it.

there's two snap tabs holding the pcm cover on. if you look at the cover, it's directly below the battery as stated above, you can see one tab that is sticking out facing the engine area, pull the cover and the tab will let loose, pull it straight up and it will reveal the pcm. there's a metal snap tab on the pcm, pop it off, then there's a plastic finger next to the tab, pry it up and the pcm will lean out towards the radiator. the pcm is now free. if you need to remove the wiring harness, there's two 7mm bolts holding them to the pcm, loosen both then lightly rock the connector back and forth and it will gradually come off the pcm. they are color coded so you don't have to worry about screwing up. reinstall is exactly reverse, there is no need for static electricity worries, battery connection, etc. Only thing you may experience if you are swapping the pcm is the pass lock security relearn feature. i'm sure there's a write up on how to do it somewhere.
