Did Some work to the Truck This past week

So this week everyday after work i have been doing a little something to my truck. I have had it for about a year and decided i wanted to add some stuff. Its a 2000 z-71. This last weekend i added a Kenwood stereo that I had in my jeep before. Looks and sounds better than stock. Then i cranked the T-bars to level the passanger side to the drive side of the truck. Got about 3/4" out of it. Monday rotated the tires and switched to Mobil-1 synthetic. Tuesday for my uncle i added a brake controller to his new yukon denali. Wed i decided since im taking my boat on a 2 and a half hour drive to Lake anna for a sweet camping/wakeboarding trip I would add a brake controller to my truck. Got myself a Drawtite Acuvator II and used the wiring harness that came with the truck, it was a simple installation. Just thought id share The work ive done this week.

Wait, you tow a boat on a somewhat-regular basis but decide to wait until you need to make a 2 1/2 hour drive to add a brake controller? Something like that should be there from the beginning if the trailer has brakes on it, IMO. I'll be towing a small pop-up this summer, just one trip, and I plan on equipping my truck with a brake controller. My trip is also 300 miles, but it's all highway.

Anyway, sounds like you've been busy, what's next on the list?

Little off post here but I have not seen a boat trailer with electric brakes (surge seems to be the norm). How long have you had the boat? Any problems with electic brakes and salt water?

Next Weeks list is just camping, But i wish i would be adding to the truck.

We have had the boat i guess this is its 3rd summer. The boat trailor was customly converted to electric brakes, was origanly surge brakes. Local shop did it because my grandfather insisted on the boat having electric brakes on the trailor. I normally tow a boat down the street if i tow it at all.
