So, I just sold my 2000 Chevy Silverado this weekend and now I'm looking at a replacement vehicle. What do you guys think of the new Hummer H3? I've never had a midsize vehicle and have spent all my time on the Full-Size forum but thought I would post here and see what the consensus was. Looking around the web all I have seen are positive comments. What about the 5-cylinder engine?

Thanks,

B.J.

Personally, I like the H3. I think it looks a little goofy with leaf springs and tends to look somewhat nose down on the road. But you do get a pretty nice vehicle for the price. I drove one this weekend and although it was a bit slow off the line the overall dynamics of the vehicle were quite good. The interior is nice and upscale looking. I like the way it looks with the big tires, but they cant be had with the chrome wheels........the two combined would look the best. Give it a look, but dont expect much wheelin and dealin for a few more months.

 I tend to hate hummers except the H1 it seems all the bad drivers have one just to push thier weight around to have people get out of thier way. sry but I always bash hummer drivers

My Girlfriend works for GM and we had the chance to drive one for three weeks. I was very impressed overall, actually loved it! Great off road ability, good ride on the highway(19,20 mpg) and tons of curb appeal! Driving a 05 Tahoe now and if I did not need the cargo volume and power I would switch in a heart beat. Word has it they will be coming out with a bigger engine sometime next year. I went in and built one with all the options and couldn't come close to the sticker on the Tahoe. I can't argue with Sonoma driver about "H2's" but it is what it is and I don't think they look nearly as cool as the H3. Good luck!
