Adding backup lights

I would like to add backup lights that come on when i shift into reverse. Is there a relay or would i have to tap into the wiring harness for the reverse lights? Its a 2003 GMC Sierra reg. cab stepside.

Backup lights are supplied voltage by the body control module. Your best bet would be to just tap into the wiring for one of the backup lamps at the back of the truck.
