Just a few observations...

They do tend to "walk" all over the road.

They did help soften the ride compared to the stock 245's. Wife likes the new smoother ride so that is a plus.

Only rubbing is at full lock on the inner wheel well plastic that I still need to trim. I trimmed the plastic air dam only a little bit.

Looks good :jester:

And I like the "HD" emblem you added on the back :D

Ditto. I love the size of the trucks and those size tires should be stock. Looks really nice. But I'm with 01silverado2500. Can't fit into my parking deck with any type of "raise". The max height is 6'8".

Nice looking truck!! I just added 305's on my HD also. I didn't even mind trimming the front since it looked "exactly" how I wanted it to. Now I want a tune to get the speedo corrected. I have been pleased so far that I don't feel alot of "walking" from the Bridgestone A/T's. The ride is MUCH better than the factory tires :jester: .

I am planning right now for building a new garage.... I am even going with oversize doors so the truck will fit :D .

Curly - did you have to install blocks in the rear? I like the 305 setup over the 285's, and am considering a 2-3" bodly lift, and cranked T-bars to level the truck, but wondering if you installed the 305's without anything other than some trimming and cranking.

I did not use blocks and we trimmed the very bottom of the front air dam. I have a picture that may show it, if not I'll try to get a good picture fo the trimming and add it to my garage. The 305's additional width makes it look like the wheel wells are "full" (especially from the front and rear). I'm glad I went with the 305's :jester: .

ChevyHDGert: How do you like them Ranchos? Tires look great. How much did they raise the truck? I pull a fifth wheel camper and barely have enough room between trailer and bed rails now.

I don't have the Ranchos but I am wondering the same thing. I need to throw some washers in under my front shocks to make sure I'm not fully extended.

Looks GREAT! I like. Hmmmmm, crank the t-bars and blocks in the rear...wondering when my REVO's will wear out. Oops, they only have 18k on them now. Will be a while.

Thanks for sharing.

The new tires raised the truck a good inch. You can see my fender heights in my sig.

did you have any problems putting a 305 tire on the 6.5in rim? everybody tells me in order to run a 305 you need at least a 8in rim, they say that it causes the tire to buldge to much in the middle......the Costco in town will only put up to a 255 tire on a 6.5in rim.....I think your truck looks great and I'd like to have the Mud T/A as well but I want to make sure that there won't be any problems with the rim and tires.....any ideas? who mounted your tires? thanks for your help.
