Zerk Lubing Challenge.

Got almost 3,000 miles on my 2001 Silverado and I changed the oil and lubed the front end today.  Is anybody else dumbfounded by a front suspension design that places grease fittings for the steering just under the drive belt tensioner- making it impossible to get the grease gun on it?  I put the 90deg zerks in that you good people recommended to solve the problem, but it seems like a foolish design.  Then to make the front end lube even more challenging to the do-it-yourselfer, the factory service manual doesn't display the locations of the grease fittings.  Does anybody know how many grease fittings there are?  I lubed 8 total:  Four on the ball joints and 4 on the steering parts.  I thought I saw a thread here once but searched in vain to find it again- its link showed all the locations.  Thanks for any tips and good luck to all home mechanics.

I'm not sure if there is a difference between the 2wd an the 4wd, but the 4wd's have 11.

That site that tom posted should help.  I thought it was very easy to lube mine (never done anything like this prior).  Except for one which i replaced with a 90 this past weekend.
