GF7PE Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Hey guys, buying a newer bigger house and may have to sell off some of the toys to get to the mortgage payment I want. Out here realestate prices are ridiculous and you have to spend alot to get a little. Planning on selling my snowmobile so thats and easy 5 grand but what do you think I should ask for my truck? Details 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 hd crew cab short bed pewter 6.0L 4.10 22000 miles fabtech 6" 35x14.5 Nitto Mud Grapplers or 315/70/17's depending if I sell one set or the other, piaa airdam w/lights borla cat back, line x. Truck is super clean in and out, has one small boo boo that I have been meaning to fix just havent.
mmmikkke Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 2002 is a good year for a 2500HD. You can deprogram the power locks so they don't lock themselves. It's got the bumped hood. I already got my 2500HD, though, just wanted to chime in. Hey, look at how the roof gutter of the house behind the truck sticks out of the back of the cab in the 2nd picture. A spoiler there--just like that--would look tough. I wonder if it'd be aerodynamically right...
Elwood 2000 Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Also, in the second picture, you have a third stop "sign" right on the tailgate for better safety! Seriously, I don't know what it would be worth, but a lifted truck does reduce the list of potential buyers. On the positive side, there are a LOT of people who don't like the '03-current nose job and a very low milage '02 like yours is just the ticket for them and your color is right. It is a very sharp looking truck. When you figure out your price, you might try e-bay. It is only around $75 to list the truck, depending on what options you want on your listing and I think another $40 when you sell it. Look there at past auctions and see what trucks like yours have sold for. There is usually a few lifted trucks on there and your plus is that you reach a national market instead of a local one. Good Luck, if I were in the market, I would definately give your truck a very hard look. It is a sweet ride!
GF7PE Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 I looked up the blue book on it and it says $23500 with 38000 miles. So I would guess I could get more than that with 16000 less miles and the lift and stuff. What do you guys think?
