pat2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 This is my second denali with a nav system. My first, a 2003, had an excellent nav system. Would re-route me if I passed my exit perfectly. My new 2005 denali is really messed up. If I stop for gas off the interstate it will take me back in the direction I was coming from and then have me turn around several miles down the road to head back in the correct direction. It also does not take me on the fastest route. I have contacted the dealer and they are puzzled. The only fix they have was to offer me an older dvd from the denali I traded in. Anyone else have any of these problems?
BBSilverado Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 What version DVD do you have and what one did you have? All the software is on the DVD for mapping and guidence. If you liked the version you had in your 2003 it will work the same in your 2005 nav unit.
Frozen001 Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Does it correct itself if you ignore it for the brief period where it is telling you to go to the wrong way??? Or does it insist you go the other direction before it corrects??? Maybe it has something to to with the GPS antenna?? It might not be recieving enough satallites...
zaf88 Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 my unit said i was 50 miles away from where i was. i re calibrated and that fixed that. but i experienced the same thing. it took me on a roundabout way, and at one point for 15 minutes it told me i was on a service road and not the highway. probably 200 feet off. anyone have any ideas? seems like a crappy nav unit to me. my friends lexus and my other friends range roer have ZERO problems. btw, i have a 2006 denali.
