Removing door panel in 05 sierra

I want to remove the door panel in my truck to put a component system in there. I have tried to pull it up and off but i am scared to rip it. Should i pull hard or just a steady pull to get it off. i am scared i might break the clips off. has anybody had any problems getting thier panel off, is there anything i should know not to do.

did you pull off the balck trim piece behind the lock slide?

if so, (there is a clip behind ther) the only thing to do is slide the panel UP, toward the window, with the window down preferably
