Spark plugs and wiresets

I'm looking at replacing my plugs and wires. . .being I'm approaching 100k

I'm looking at Bosch Platinum +4 plugs and Autolite professional series wires. Any comments? . . .just to confirm. . .you can interchange wire and plug brands/styles (as long as they are for the same application)?

yeah, you can interchange... i went to MSD 8.5mm superconductor wires and NGK plugs on mine when I changed them out. i change my plugs every 30K and the wires every 60K.

Research some more, before you buy Bosch +4.

I went with AC Delco Iridium Part # 12571164

Great plugs for any application.

As for wires, MSD are OK but not the best. they stand even with OEM wires.

BTW, AC Delco came out with new wires "RED" Part #88894394 for 10.5" and # 88894393 for 9.2" long.

If I get 100k miles on my truck with out any trouble no way I'm going with any after market stuff

Are you saying stick with the OEM brand? Is that ACDelco?

Yes that is ACDelco and you can buy them from a auto supply house that sells ACDelco parts for less then the dealer. My dealer has been good too me over the last 40 years so I buy from them. I'm 81 years old now and I guess my 2004 Silverado Z71 will be my last one:) Have a 1995 Impala SS with only 17,000 miles on it too. 39 GMC cars and trucks and used all OEM parts with no trouble.

I run the P2 in my silverado, I have run them for 100k and love them.

Tried them in a 97 K3500 (5.7). Changed back to the AC after only 2 weeks they ran so bad.

I ran the Bosch +4's in my '98 S-10 4.3L V6 and they ran great. The truck ran real smooth and even had improved MPG.

I was going to put them in the Silverado but the guy at AutoZone said they run too hot and mess up the computer. At $5.00 a piece (5x8=40) I don't want to just 'try' them.
