Mercpuman
What can I expect out of this combo in a 01 Suburban, city, hwy, and say towing a #9000 trailer? Have been looking for the 6.0/3.73 but came across this one with low miles and in excellent condition. Thanks!
MRT
I would say to expect towing about 8-9, empty 13-14. Hwy driving possibly 16. Hope this helps, Matt

Have been looking for the 6.0/3.73 but came across this one with low miles and in excellent condition. Thanks! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have an '05 Yukon XL, 8.1 with the 3.73, and the mileage has climbed a little since I got it about 4K miles ago. If I really keep my foot out of it and keep the speed <60, which is d**n hard to do, I have hit low 13s, towing nothing. Normal all around mileage is 12s, no towing. I think you need to be thinking single digits with that rig and a 9K# trailer. The good news is that it will pull it up or down anything and it is a great motor that you'll have a lot of fun with, you'll just have to feed it, that's all.
