dash paint peeled off

Recommended Posts

My wife left a bottle of some kinda purfume on my dash and it leaked out. it sat like that all day. when i got into my truck the dash paint peeled right up. Can this be painted back? is it a possible do it yourself thing. would it be cheaper to just get a used dash from ebay or something other than having it painted? can you by factory interior paint?

any help i can get would be great. thank you.

Check with your dealer, this is very comon problem with our dashes, they might have a company they use to make repairs, around here DFW metro they use TRU-Color. I had my 02 repaired by them under warranty And on my 04 the dealer just replaced the dash.

Give the dealer a call they might help you

First off, Im new here, name is nick, ill make in intro post in a little bit. I work for a GMC dealership in illinois and to answer your question yes, the dashes are paintable. The dealership in your area may do it on site at a detailshop or they would know who to talk to about getting it fixed, best of luck.
