4L60E transmission question

I have a 2005 with 4.8L and 4L60E. It has 1600 easy miles on it.

 

A week ago, after sitting for a short time at a red light, the transmission didn't seem to be fully engaged when I stepped on the gas for the green light. It wasn't like it was completely in neutral, but the RPMs did flare up for about a second, and then it grabbed fairly hard.

 

Have you seen this happen before? What is it and should I get it in to the dealer right away? It has been working flawlessly ever since.

Have we seen transmissions slip? Sure. One time only? nope. You can take it in, but if it's working fine for you now, it'll work fine for them and you'll most likely get a NPF (no problem found, unable to duplicate, etc.) on the repair order.

 

You have lots of warranty left. Keep driving and see if this repeats.
