leaking antifreeze?

i just recently purchased a 2000 silverado Z71 with the 5.3 L engine, it is leaking antifreeze and I cant figure out exactly where from

It doenst seem to be leaking at all when I am driving, I can park it and come back in a hour and nothing, but when it sits overnight I wake up to a puddle of antifreeze. The puddle is located under the engine on the passenger side. when i looked over the engine it seemed to be slightly wet around the passenger side in front of the head, which I think is behind the water pump. So I am not sure if it is a bad water pump or if it is my intake manifold leaking,

I am new to trucks in general and any help I can get on this I would appreciate

I know exactly what your problem is. The only issue I’ve had with my 99 NBS Z71. Same thing—come out in the morning to a small puddle of dexcol under the passenger side of my truck. Man it took me for ever to track the leak back to it’s source. Turned out to be the water pump gasket. There are 2 separate gaskets one on the driver side and one on the passenger side. The one on the passenger side failed. That’s what is happening to you, I know it!! Use Fel-Pro gaskets to replace the stock. Don’t do what I did, using any old brand and just having to do the job over. Use this LINK

Had a similar problem on my wife's 2001 Tahoe last year. Everything was fine when driving and the engine was hot. Next morning there would be a puddle under the engine. I finally traced it back to the intake manifold gasket on the passenger side. I took some pictures of where it was leaking, gave them to the wife, and had her give them to the service advisor when she took it in to get it fixed. I think it set me back $500, mostly for labor to get everything out of the way and then put it back. It would have been more if the manifold was warped.

My father experenced a similar problem with his 2002 z71... turned out to be a plastic T or Y fitting on the passengers side somewhere between the engine and inner fender... I don't remember exactly where it was and what it feeds, but check all the hoses and fittings....
