Another wheel question - fitment of Typhoon wheels

Ok, I posted last week about a guy I work with who has an 89 GMC S15 Pickup. He was going to buy some wheels that I asked about before (AR23 lookalikes), but he ended up not getting them. He now found a set of oem Typhoon wheels in 15", or at least he was pretty sure they were 15's. Everything I have found about Typhoon wheels say they are 16, but maybe they made them in both sizes. The guy at this place said that they would work, he measured and they were 5 bolt, 3 3/4 spacing. Another guy told him that the Typhoon wheels would not fit his S15 pickup. Just wondering if anyone knows if this is true or not. Not sure why they would not, short of a big difference in offset. Thanks in advance for any info.

Well, I may have just found the answer to my own question. I just checked tirerack to see what kind of offsets the wheels had, and sure enough the front and rear have very different offsets, et38 front and et10 rear. Oh, and that was a typo up there with the bolt spacing, it should be 4 3/4.

I would assume the only way he could run them would be to get a full set of rear wheels, so they don't have the big offset in the front.
