Yukon Xl new in 2003 ?

Anyone know if the Yukon XL and Suburban's will get the redesign for 2003.

Only thing I heard was the 6 door version of the Subs/Yukon XL won't be produced like originally planned.  As for the "new" hood design, usually the Subs get the design the year after the p/up's so we'll see.  Still waiting on the D-max info too, not sure if the 4L85e tranny will be tuned to handle it since the Allison won't fit under the carriage.

 

I know one thing for sure, whatever they do/don't do the damn price will go up again!!!

I wish they would do an entire line change at one time (pickups, Tahoes, Suburbans etc.)  What is the advantage to GM to wait a year and release the redesigned SUVs?  Is it to use up the surplus pickup cabs?  Does GM just want to see what the general public thinks of the design before they release the more expensive SUV's?  ???  

 

I personally like the redesigned front ends.  I would also like to see a 2500 Suburban with the current 2500HD pickup front end (made even better with the Duramax).

Here is a photo of a Sub with the powerdome hood.  Tom has done a very nice job with this project.  I especially like the 2 tone paint!

I e-mailed GMC about the posibilities of putting the Dmax in there full size SUV's. Response was "GM has always offered the lowest step in height in it's class" adding the Dmax would would nessitate the raising of the vehicle a min. of 3". Doesn't sound like this will happen anytime soon.
