Water Dripping from Back of Muffler

Just what the title says. After running, there will be drops of water coming from the back and bottom of the muffler. Kind of like a leaky faucet. Other than helping corrode the muffler, is this anything to worry about? I'm assuming it's just condensation build up. Any thoughts? Thanks.

All exhaust systems have condensation. Hot gasses hitting a cold pipe during start up. The hole is a condensation drain hole.

Most late model vehicles use extremely corrode-resistant exhaust system components, if factory. You shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Carbon dioxide and water are actually normal bi-products of combustion, not a chemical reaction in the catalytic convertor. Your catalytic convertor reduces NOx emissions. Once your exhaust heats up, the water is vaporized so you don't see it dripping.

alvocado, you are correct that h20 is a natraul byproduct of combustion but cats also reduces more than NOx emmisions.

The oxidation catalyst is the second stage of the catalytic converter. It reduces the unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide by burning (oxidizing) them over a platinum and palladium catalyst. This catalyst aids the reaction of the CO and hydrocarbons with the remaining oxygen in the exhaust gas. For example:

2CO + O2 => 2CO2
