Goodyear Workhorse Extra Grips

For obvious reasons, I'm switching the Bridgestone V-Steels that came on my '04 2500HD for a set of winter tires. I'm leaning towards the Goodyear Workhorse Extra Grip. Does anyone have experience with this tire?

Thank you.

I'd like to know about the Goodyear Work horse Extra Grip also. Actually I'd like to know about any snow tires people have experience with. Does anyone have suggestions for a 245 or 265 - 16" snow tires? I'd also like to get studs, does anyone run studded tires?

I'm going to try and find some cheap rims at a junk yard or something and have the snows mounted on them. Easier.

I had a set of those, 31x10.5R15 on my 1990 2WD 1500. They were good in the snow, had a little road noise, and wore very well. Overall I really liked them. I was able to get around in the snow relatively easy with a fully indepent diff and 2WD, I think that says something.

I had a set of the Work Horses on a 99 Durango I just sold. They were great at first - good in snow, mud, rain, ice, and wore well. When I sold the Durango they were about half worn out and I hated them. The shorter the tread lugs get the louder and rougher they get. It felt like I had a set of 38" Super Swampers on it. My 2 cents.
