Body Question

Hey All,

 

Just got back from Walmart where some A$$HOLE ran a cart into the side of my truck. Now there is a nice dent with a white scratch mark about 2 inches long. My question is, has anyone used something called I think Color Match, or Color Fast? Someone told me it was like a wax but it fills in the dent to kind of blend in. I'm going to see what it would cost to fix up, but I'd imagine it's not real cheap. I don't know if they do the whole fender or if they can just patch up the little area. I'm wondering if maybe they can pull the dent out and then repaint it. Dont know much about body work.....thanks.

I had the same thing happen a couple years ago, but the scratch was about 12 inches long and went down to bare metal. It ended up costing about $500 to fix the dent and repaint the area. I never heard of the other stuff so don't know how well it works.

Good news.....well partially.....scratch came out with some rubbing compound, however the dent still remains. Unfortunately it's also on one of the body lines so I'll have to see what Dent Dr charges for something like that. If it is even possible being where it is.
