Transmission Hold

I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 HD LT with Quadrasteer with the 6.0 gas engine and 4 speed automatic. I am not sure this is a huge problem or not. When on a hill with the truck stationary and in gear. I take my foot off the brake pedal and the truck will roll backward. Same with if I am point down hill in reverse the truck will roll forward. Is this sort of normal or is the transmission in bad need of repair? It should be noted that I do not experiance any slippage at any other time.

Just a tip, and I don't know if you don't know this or not but it seem liked a good place to note, but when you are parking on that incline, you "should" put the transmission in neutral, apply the parking brake, let go of the regular brake, let the car rest on the parking brake, reapply the brake, and shift into park. That way you're not resting on the transmission and it makes shifting out of park much easier.

I get the same rolling problem with my truck. Funny thing is I always thought that only manuals slide backwards (well, they do all the time) til I let go of the brake one time on an incline and I found myself going the wrong way. The slide isn't as bad as a stick though. On one stick I tried, it would roll backwards unless the brake was all the way in and occasionally you had to let off the clutch a bit to move up.
