2001-Z71 Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Vehicle -- 2002 Tahoe 2WD 43K miles. My Tahoe developed a problem with hard starting. It will crank but not start for sometimes as much as 5-10 seconds. It has never failed to start. After this started to happen my SES light came on and the code was checked by a reputable shop and found to be the Fuel Composition Sensor (flex fuel). Sensor was replaced. The shop also advised that the fuel pressure regulator was not holding vacume so that was replaced also. No more SES light but I still have the cranking and no starting right away problem. Important -- It seems to crank and not start more so when the fuel is low -- below 1/3 tank. Email: [email protected]
