vodapas Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Ok, I have yet another question. How hard is it to change the dash lighting color. Now, I'm not talking about the gauge cluster or the factory radio. In fact, that's why I want to change the color of the rest of the dash panel lights. I've already bought a Pioneer AVIC-N2 which has the cobalt blue as one of the two button colors. I've also bought the factory clock out of an 02 Escalade which looks like the numbers light up blue and I'll be buying the silver Escalade gauges that light up blue. So, I am sure you see where I'm going with this. I want all of the other lights on the dash (HVAC, headlight controls, and various other buttons) that are currently white to light up blue. I did a search in this forum and looked in my Chilton manual and found a lot of info. on replacing the bulbs on the gauge cluster and stereo but nothing about the other lights. Will it be as simple as just popping out some 194/168 bulbs from behind the various dash panels or is it a more in-depth process? The good news is that I'm pulling out my whole dash to have my buddy's shop respray it all since there is a little area that has peeled away and since I bought a console to replace my "jump" seat that needs to be sprayed to match. So, I will have ready access to everything under the dash then. I'd like to ascertain if I can change the lighting and what bulbs I'll need before I get the dash ripped out. Thanks.

Halen5150 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 I'd like to know, also. I have a Premier 860MP with cobalt blue lights...looks slick, and I'd like the rest of the interior lights to match.
Halen5150 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Come on...my HVAC lights are slowly burning out, one by one. Anyone?
