SS Trim package

When I saw my first SS Silverado in the new body style in late 02, it had a billet grille. I thought that it must have been factory. Now I am seeing more of them without billet grilles but the honey comb style grill has a bigger pattern than the non-SS trucks.

I guess the 03 SS I saw had a dealer installed aftermarket billet grille.

 

I know that they are supposed to have 20" wheels, leather interior, 6.0 ltr, all wheel drive, bose sound, SS guages and badges inside.

There are so many SS knock offs running around with tires and SS emblems it is hard to tell a fake at 50mph!!

I had an '03 SS, none of them came from the factory with a billet grill. You can tell the posers if you know what you are looking for. The SS has body cladding on the lower half of the body that "sqaures" it off. Most of the SS wannabes don't install the cladding so the cab still rounds in, and doesn't match the lines of the bumpers properly.
