when to change plugs ?

Ive always changed plugs in the past at 100,000 miles. now my 5.3 burb says 100,000. what should I do ?

If you've changed them at 100k and the book say to do it at 100k, where's the conflict?

About the plugs, the mechanic I go to told me it isn't as much the mileage as the time the plugs have been in. He has wreckers that put on 100K in a couple years, so he can do them at 100K, but if it takes you 5-6 years to go 100K you may find you have some frozen plugs which is not a good thing.
