suspension upgrade questions!!

Want to upgrade my 05 1500 z71 to 2500 series suspensoin! How hard would it be to do??

Was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my 05 1500 z71 xcab long box to 2500 series suspension and will it void my warranty???

Welcome to the site. Not to sound like an ***, but why? What do you haul? Are you just looking for height? Do you hae a donor truck lying around? I'd be worried about stopping that much weight with stock 1/2 ton brakes. I think the cost to benefit ratio would be steep. Just a guess, but pretty sure you could kiss your warrenty goodbye! If you pull it off let me know, I put 3/4 ton springs in the back of a 95 1/2 ton(sold since then) a while back, didn't stop as well as hoped. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

 

I would suggest helper springs or air-bags, if you're going for weight capacities.

Yes if you modified your truck that much you would void most all warranty. My suggestion would be wait till 3-36k is over than swap in a straight axle. Off road unlimited sells a kit for the spring hangers. Many different front diff combo's availible that would be way way stronger than a IFS ever will be. Better off road also. The put in a 14 bolt in the read with your choice of springs and off ya go.
