Torsion Bar Upgrade

I have a 2005 6lt, 8 cy (LQ4) engine, 4x4, 2500 Yukon XL with Quadasteer. It has auto-ride suspension. I am planning to attach a snow plow; however, I’ve been told that I would need a firm-ride suspension. I checked my torsion bars; they are GK (max torque 8615 lbf). I am planning to replace the bars with XG (max torque 9054 lbf) or GL (max torque 8782 lbf) to increase the stiffness. I know this will not increase the load capacity; however, this should decrease the drop under load (snow-plow). Together with Timbrens, I should have a decent height.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Can you, at least, tell me if the torsion bars are interchangable, I mean length and dia vise? Woud XG or GL fit into the place of GK?

No clue. I never really paid that much attention to them. I suspect so, but that's really just a guess.
