LEER 600 or 700?

Does anyone know the model for the leer lid that has the lip to accamodate for the whale tail tailgate cover?  

 

Also if you bought one how much did it run? I amy buy one due to summer travel plans

IMO if you are going to put a lid on your truck get rid of the whales tail.  I think they look stupid with that lid hanging over the rear of the tailgate.  The rear tailgate gaurd is about $25 to replace the "whalestail", and the 600 series should work then...

 

The $25 replacement gaurd is held on with 3m tape, and will cover the holes in your tailgate.

I think they look good without a cap or lid but not the case with one.  

 

The brochoure I have here doesn't list the 700 series, so maybe that is the one that will seal against your tailgate with the whalestail.  I have no idea of the cost...  sorry

I like the Whale Tail spoiler too, but i agree with Shaners that with a cap on it, it looks kind of wierd.  ???   If I was doing it, I 'd replace the tailgate cap.

the tailgate cover was the stupidest piece of #### gm has ever did,  and the first thing I removed..

 

they make the trucks look so damn ugly from the rear.

 

 

and DO NOT buy a leer,  mine is a leer and it's sucks ass more than any cover i've ever seen,  it's hard to raise, and the locks do not stay where they are, not to mention it hits the corners of the bed no matter where you adjust it to.
