I'd go with the silverstars.  Can't beat em for the price.

i was wondering if the silverstars look good?are they just whiter or ?do they have a blueish color to them?because i have seen a few around town and they look really ugly but my friend has the silverstars in his crx and they are bright as hell

I had Xenon filled 80w low and 100w high beams in my 03. The high's are blueish. I changed the low beams to silverstar to get more spread of light and love them. Highway driving with lows and driving lights on is great. 100w blueish high beams work in excellent combo with the silverstar lows.

If you don't want to spend the money for HID's, then the SilverStar gives you a whiter light, good mod for the money

Wire harness that goes directly to the battery.

The GM OEM system has no relays and has the source come from the battery, then to the harness(es...yes many of them), then to the fuse block, then to the switch, then back to the harness(es) and finally to the headlamps.

Some have only 9.6 volts measured at the headlamps. Then the wire size limits the amount of both voltage and current it will deliver.

The best bang for the buck is to install a wiring harness that has relays the delivery directly from the battery/fuse. With larger gauge wire.

These usually get 14.6 volts to the headlamps.

That alone gets up to 40% more voltage to the bulbs, which will burn 40% brighter.

True, but (at least) the 2005 have relays in the electrical system that drives the Hi and low beams, fogs, and DRLs so I would figure their getting their full voltage loads to the lamps.

Run 9011 & 9012 bulbs(twice the lumens @ factory wattage-no burned wires)

Then run diodes so that LO beams, DRL's, and fogs come on with HI-beams.

Problem solved.

And it beats hell out of Silverstars.

Clean your lenses and install the SS bulbs. Big differences. I installed the bulbs in my lows and not my highs, well my highs suck now. I only use the lows, much brighter, but then again, I gusee I could put them in my highs too............

Maybe Santa will bring me some.
