I was having troubles in "Nutscrape" (good one) until I disabled "style sheets" in the preferences/advanced section. Been working fine since.

Don't know if that's your issue, 4x4, but worth a check?

I think this is 5.0 here and I'm pretty sure I have 5.0 at home. Although I made the mistake of downloading 5.5 at one time which brought my PC to a halt. So I de-installed it but I think there are still some nagging files around as it's still slow.

It's odd because newbie's sig won't show up either and I know that it was working at home last night.

You should just download IE6.0, it should speed things up a bit. To see what version you have go to Help>About Internet Explorer It'll say the version there.

Also, it's a good idea to make sure you have all the windows updates.
